The current Coronavirus crisis has caused massive job losses across the globe and has caused many industries to lay off staff, which has resulted in a massive employment crisis. While the world is still trying to figure out how to emerge from the crisis, one sector that has witnessed steady growth is the call center industry. While many had predicted that the industry may be one of the hardest hits, especially given how call centers function.

Made working from home possible:

While it might have taken time to get the entire system set up, companies took up the challenge to set up systems, with the help of innovative and effective outbound call center software, that helped setting up and making the task of working from home a lot easier. Communicating with colleagues and other team members, if required.

Preparing a roster that works:

When it comes to working from home, the call center industry had to overcome several obstacles, which includes preparing work schedules where teams could work in sync together from their respective homes. Right from the team leaders and supervisors working in sync with their respective teams, to arranging outbound calls on time, everything needs to be planned well in advance, as any mismanagement could result in the quality of the resolution or the time required not being according to the liking of the customer.

Moving ahead:

While the cases of coronavirus are increasing on a daily basis, and with no vaccine or cure expected in the immediate future, working from home will be the new norm, and with new challenges cropping up every day, call centers will have to constantly innovate and come up with some effective solutions to help improve the overall quality if the resolutions and services offered to customers.
