TVS Sport vs. TVS XL100: Power & Performance

TVS Sport runs on a manual operated 4-stroke engine that is powered by ETFi (Eco Thrust Fuel Ignition) technology. It has an engine capacity of 109.77cc. It generates 8.18 bhp at the speed of 7,350 rpm and gives a torque of 8.7 Nm at the rate of 4,500 rpm. Its fuel tank capacity is 10 litres, and riding range is around 750kms.

TVS XL100 runs on an automatic operated 4-stroke engine that is powered by Fuel Injection technology. It has an engine capacity of 69.9cc. It generates 4.2 bhp at the speed of 6,000 rpm and gives a torque of 6.5 Nm at the rate of 3,500 rpm. Its fuel tank capacity is 4 litres, and riding range is around 229kms.

Both TVS Sport and TVS XL100 give 15% more mileage than their previous models. TVS Sport gives a mileage of 76.40kmpl and TVS XL100 of 67kmpl. Moreover, since TVS Sport has a higher engine capacity and delivers stronger performance than TVS XL100, it is more fuel-efficient.

TVS Sport vs TVS XL100: Design & Dimensions

We have seen the comparative features of the engine and fuel systems of the TVS Sport and TVS XL100. When it comes to their design, the TVS Sport’s design trumps TVS XL100 in terms of graphics and durability with its 3D finish and tough make. TVS XL100 focuses more on giving comfort and utility to its riders with its extra-long rider and pillion seat and ample storage space.

TVS Sport weighs 110kg and has a wheel size of 17-inches. TVS XL100 weighs 80kg and has a wheel size of 16inches. The advanced dimensional feature also adds to the greater fuel efficiency of TVS Sport as a bigger wheel size is associated with lesser rotations per minute. This leads to better performance and faster speed. Small tires lead to more rotations per minute, and as a result, maintain lesser traction. That is why smaller wheels lead to more power intake and thus, increase fuel consumption. However, since there is an inch of difference between TVS Sport and TVS XL100s wheel size, the ratio of fuel efficiency is slightly more in TVS Sport.

To conclude, TVS Sport is a more fuel-efficient bike than the TVS XL100.
